From October to November 2023, 16 professionals participated in two learning mobilities in Oslo, Norway. These activities were organized within the Social NET – Networking for Knowledge Transfer and Social Inclusion project implemented by CONCORDIA Humanitarian Organisation and the youth organization Yyouth (Norway) and funded by the Active Citizens Fund Romania program.
The first learning mobility was organized on 9-11 October, with a focus on working with vulnerable young people; Eight practitioners from CONCORDIA Humanitarian Organisation participated in dedicated workshops and visited Ellingsrudåsen frivilligsentral – youth organization, Trosterudklubben – after-school center for vulnerable children and young people, VIF Samfunn – Volunteer and job placement center. There was also an interactive workshop at Microsoft Norway on the usefulness of artificial intelligence (AI) and chatGPT in social work.
The second mobility was organized on 6-8 November and was dedicated to the support system for social system professionals. The focus was on understanding how the social system works in Norway and what kind of support services social professionals can access. Eight professionals participated in interactive workshops and discussions with representatives of Kahoot, Ung Info – an organization providing support to young people), and Toyen Unlimited – a social incubator. Both delegations also participated in a guided tour of Deichman Bjorvika – a huge and impressive social hub library right in the center of Oslo.
We are very proud of the Romanian professionals’ commitment to their work and their desire to make a difference through their efforts. But we are grateful to have the opportunity to see how other systems work, what we can apply, and how we can support people who dedicate their lives to supporting others.
The project is implemented by CONCORDIA Humanitarian Organisation (Romania) in partnership with Yyouth (Norway) and benefits from a 29.270,00 euros grant, from Active Citizens Fund Romania, programme funded by Iceland, Liechtenstein, and Norway through the EEA Grants Grants 2014 -2021.
