CONCORDIA Academia launches the selection process for the Project A.C.T. – Advancing Capacity Training for Resilient Social Leaders and Organizations, a program dedicated to training healthy self-care practices and promoting mental health in social organizations in Romania, with the financial support of Baden-Württemberg Stiftung. The project addresses a number of 10 organizations from 6 counties bordering the Danube region and 4 other counties in the country.
Duration: April 2025 – March 2026
The period includes preparation, implementation, follow-up activities and dissemination of results.
Aim of the project: To support a sustainable transformation of the organizational culture, aimed at increasing the individual and collective resilience of teams, with a direct impact on the efficiency and sustainability of social services. The project targets 10 social organizations, 6 from counties bordering the Danube region and 4 from other counties of the country, supporting them to develop healthy self-care and organizational mental health practices.
General objectives:
- Developing an organizational culture focused on self-care and mental health in 10 social organizations in Romania through training and team coaching sessions.
- Strengthening the position of CONCORDIA Academia at national level, through local and regional partnerships supporting healthy and sustainable practices in the social sector.
- Creating and strengthening an online community of practitioners in the social field to facilitate knowledge sharing, partnerships and future collaborations.
Expected results:
- 20 managers and other team members from 10 organizations trained in self-care and mental health.
- At least 60 team coaching sessions carried out, with direct involvement of organizational teams.
- Development and implementation of 10 Sustainability Action Plansoriented towards sustainable changes in organizational culture.
- Creating a online community of practice with at least 20 active members, supported by the CONCORDIA Academia e-learning platform.
- Organization of a annual event dedicated to organizational health and collaboration in the social sector.
Anticipated impact:
- Improving the resilience of social organizations and their capacity to deliver sustainable services to vulnerable communities.
- Reducing the risk of burnout and increasing the quality of interventions through better mental health and self-care among professionals.
- Strengthening regional and trans-regional cooperation, in particular in the Danube area, through exchange of best practices and sustainable partnerships.
- Creating a multiplier effect in the social sector by sharing resources, knowledge and organizational models that can be replicated in other organizations.
- Alignment with the objectives of the EU Strategy for the Danube Region by investing in people and strengthening institutional capacity.
